Our StoryFounded in 2022 by former teen mother Remington Steele, We Are The Village – Teen Moms was created to ensure that no young parent has to navigate pregnancy and parenting alone. What started as a mission to support teen mothers has grown into a community-focused organization dedicated to connecting teen parents with resources, opportunities, and the Village they deserve.

Meet our Founder | Remington Steele
At just 15 years old, Remington Steele became pregnant and welcomed her first child at 16. Navigating motherhood as a teenager and later raising two children as a single mother gave her firsthand insight into the challenges, barriers, and isolation many young parents face. Rather than allowing those experiences to define her limitations, she transformed them into a lifelong commitment to service, advocacy, and community building. In 2022, she founded We Are The Village – Teen Moms with a simple but powerful belief: no teen parent should have to navigate pregnancy, parenting, or life alone. Today, Remington leads the organization with a vision of creating stronger connections between families, resources, and community partners so that every teen parent has access to the support they need to thrive. Through her leadership, WATVTM continues to build a Village where hope, opportunity, and support are available to every young family.
